BUILD & GROW
That is common. What worked when the company was smaller can become a bottleneck when customers, people, tools and decisions multiply.
Start with the work. Then decide what needs a better process, clearer authority, stronger business systems, different skills or technology that actually reduces work.
1. Workflow before headcount.
If work keeps coming back to the same person, map the process before hiring around it.
2. Founder dependency.
The founder became the answer because the business needed an answer. Now ask which decisions truly require the founder and which ones simply ended up there.
3. AI workflow automation.
AI for small business is useful when it removes repetitive work. It is not useful because another subscription appeared.
4. Small team capability.
A small team can carry serious capability when the system carries its share.
5. Knowledge transfer.
If one person left for 30 days, what knowledge, relationships or decisions would leave with them?
If your team is entering the same information three times, creating spreadsheets to fix the software or working around the platform, the technology is not doing its job.
Pick one workflow. Find the repetitive work. Find the judgment calls. Automate what should be automated and keep people where judgment matters.
That is workflow design. It is also how AI productivity becomes useful instead of theoretical.
Before you raise money, know what the money is supposed to accomplish.
Working capital, debt, equity, retained earnings or patience all solve different problems. Growth can create value. It can also consume cash faster than the business can finance it.
Capital strategy starts with knowing which one is happening.
Leadership continuity, succession planning and enterprise value are connected.
Passing the title is easy. Passing institutional knowledge, authority, customer relationships and judgment is the real work.
Document what matters. Move decisions closer to the work. Teach the team how to notice what changed and test a better way.
